Spring 2021
I am excited to share how our two chapters are continuing to elevate the college’s worth to members. We continue to be shown in the Healthcare Executive Magazine with our state-wide Board of Governors preparatory course for Fellow advancement and by having national speakers from Harvard and other academic institutions be part of our education sessions that reside outside the state of Florida. Overall, as Regent, I am very proud of the caliber of the curriculum we are providing our members during a time of WebEx forums.
As we look back on the first virtual ACHE Congress, we had over 9000 attendees, which is the highest attended Congress in ACHE history. This could not have been done without the encouragement that came from the ACHE of Central Florida and ACHE of South Florida Chapters. We had participating members from all over the state that in past years we did not see the same representation. Thank you for continuing to encourage the College mission, vision, and values, as it really has shown through with how active all our members have been in the education sessions, breakout sessions, and networking events.
I want to end with a special congratulations to one of our higher education networks, the University of Miami, Master’s in Health Administration Program. This program recently became fully accredited by CAHME this past year. As most know, going through an accreditation process takes time and effort and, by doing so, demonstrates the same values as ACHE in which lifelong learning to these students who will be part of our future leaders within our healthcare industry.
Continue to get involved and stay engaged through our upcoming education and networking events that will be coming your way. I will be excited for the day we meet again in person! Make sure to visit all three sites to tap into the best education & networking events out there. Stay tuned for future events that may result to in-person functions.
If there is anything I may be able to do for you, please do not hesitate to reach out. Have a great summer!
